A Digital Mess

After waiting for the release of the iPad and waiting to play with one at work this morning, I have to say I was a little disappointed. It seems like a large, glorified iPod touch. Yes it is awesome to have something larger and have the capability to watch movies instantly, but for someone that already has an iMac, MacBook Pro, iPod touch, and an iPhone, I don’t really see the need in splurging for one.

This morning I was informed of the new gadget coming out from Microsoft, and I have to say for the first time in years, I am dying to buy this product. There is allegedly going to be a product called the Microsoft Courier. This will be a digital journal that looks to be created specifically for the creative mind. It is a tablet with a stylus (that Apple lacks) that allows you to write and draw on pages of a journal. It gives you the ability to drag images from the internet directly into the pages, syncing with your calendar, and you can share your thoughts and pages with other people.

This gadget has me giddy, and I honestly can’t read enough blogs or watch enough videos about it. The only thing that sucks is it runs windows.. I just hope it is compatible with a Mac, because I will be purchasing one if so.

Come on Apple, be more innovative and put Microsoft in its place!
